Jaime Andrade is a husband, father, and lifelong Chicagoan who knows firsthand what it means to work hard to provide for a family. To make ends meet, he drove Uber and worked as a union laborer. These experiences, balancing family, work, and community, continue to shape how he shows up for the 40th District.

Now serving in the Illinois State House, Jaime Andrade is continuing to protect our rights, support working families, and build an Illinois where everyone can live, work, and raise a family.

• Protect immigration families & our civil rights: As the son of immigrants, Jaime Andrade understands that immigrant families are the backbone of our communities. He believes no one should live in fear of being targeted, harassed, or separated from their loved ones simply because of where they come from. Jaime Andrade is strongly opposed to lawless ICE raids and attacks on civil liberties. In Springfield, he has worked to protect immigrant neighbors by standing up to Trump’s reckless policies and pushing back against efforts that undermine due process and basic human rights. A proud union member, he understands the importance of organized labor and the role unions play in protecting workers’ rights, safety, and fair wages.
