Adam Braun is running to represent Illinois’ 13th District to fight for all of us and deliver results. He’ll make sure our government works for families, protect our rights, lower costs, and continue putting our community first. 

As Executive Deputy Attorney General in the Illinois Attorney General’s Office, Adam took on the Trump Administration, held pharmaceutical companies accountable for their role in the opioid epidemic, and built the first statewide crime gun tracing platform in the nation. Adam has proven that he can fight Trump’s dangerous agenda and win. He will work to defend our rights and make life more affordable for us as our next State Representative. 

→ Healthcare: Adam knows what it means to fight for your family. When his son was born with a genetic disorder, the insurance company tried to deny his family the care they needed. Adam fought back. He worked to pass a new state law requiring insurance companies to cover the type of device his son needed — so that no family would go through the same thing. Adam will continue fighting to make healthcare more affordable and to stop the insurance industry’s efforts to roll back coverage. 

→ Community and Affordability: As a working parent, Adam sees how everyday costs like groceries, gas, electricity, and childcare continue to rise. He will take on corporate price gouging and go after businesses that nickel-and-dime consumers with junk fees, because families deserve affordability and transparency. Adam knows strong communities start with economic stability. When families can afford to live, raise children, and plan for the future, neighborhoods thrive. 

→ Protecting Rights and Public Safety: Adam Braun is committed to our safety. He helped get illegally trafficked firearms off our streets and built the first statewide crime gun tracing platform in the nation. He will protect civil rights and ensure federal agents follow the law, because no one should fear masked, unidentifiable agents disrupting our communities. In Springfield, he will focus on community-engaged policing — supporting crime victims, investing in intervention services, and ensuring law enforcement has the resources needed to keep neighborhoods safe.

→ Standing up to Trump’s Agenda: As Illinois Executive Deputy Attorney General, Adam Braun stood up to the Trump Administration and red state Republicans trying to restrict abortion access, taking the fight to the Supreme Court. He will also fight back against Trump’s cruel and immoral attacks on immigrants and our community. He will make sure Illinois protects people’s civil rights and will work with Democrats to require federal agents to follow the law.
